So, who am I?
Hi, I'm Marlin Lopez and I do graphic and web design. I like helping new and existing companies as well as business owners to establish a brand and recognizable identity for their everyday business needs.
I joined the design world back in 2002 when I graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Orlando, FL with an Associates of Science Degree in Computer Graphics. Deciding what to do as a career was easy as I knew I wanted to do something I love and was passionate about. I was gifted with a talent that not everyone has and it was fo sure my way of "Giving Back"
I can help any individual or company to transform an idea into images or something tangible with the goal to attract, sell, entertain or inform. And by that I mean help you visually communicate your idea or message.
After acquiring a degree on graphic design, I already had basic skills as a web designer. However, with time, the field became more demanding and force me to learned web design in a more advance level. Today I practice in both fields, earning 6 years of experience as a graphic designer, 2 of which are in web design. With these amount of years and experience I have the opportunity to work for you in both design fields, but more than that, give you proper guidance as far as which are the elements you will need to combine from both, to use towards your advantage and take your business to the next level.
I offer you the best of both worlds, by using different media to get your message across to your customers. Knowing usability [definition], web development, web design, as well as putting things on paper, makes me a designer who understands the Internet and all the elements behind design. I know and can show you how certain things need to work in a web environment, and how they need to be in a print environment. This is not just about making things look pretty, but rather making things look good and functional. I will help you make complex visual solutions in 2 dimensions and/or simultaneously in 1-dimension and N-dimension for the web and or print, by defining when to pay more attention to the layout or when to pay more attention to usability. In the end my experience will give you, more flexibility on how your message gets across and how it looks.Get my Resume
